The new head of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association announced Oct. 17 he has eliminated 12 positions at the 125-employee organization as part of a major restructuring plan. Mark Baker, who became CEO on Sept. 6, did not say which positions were eliminated. However, the group did say the association's government affairs division has been restructured "to more closely align and integrate AOPA's legislative activities with its work in the regulatory arena to allow the association to be more flexible in deploying resources."
